Introduction of the Lockheed/Vega Ventura
In February 1940, the British placed an order for 25 aircraft, which was designated as the Ventura Mk. I.
Mk. II
The aircraft evolved as requirements for it changed with later models designated as the following: British Ventura II, IIA and GR Mk. V, and the American PV-1 and PV-3. Between December 1941 and May 1944, Lockheed/Vega built 2493 versions of the Ventura.
